For whatever reason, Verizon has decided to start selling the Moto G7 Play, a mid-range smartphone that made its debut in the US back in March. Available from all major retailers in the country, the Moto G7 Play is far from being impressive specs-wise.That’s probably why Verizon lets customers grab the Moto G7 Play for free if they commit to a new agreement that includes a 24-month plan. The carrier also offers the Moto G7 Play for $168, a great deal considering that Amazon asks $180 for the same device, while Best Buy has it on sale for just $80 (requires activation).

As we already mentioned, the Moto G7 Play is a mid-end device that sports a 5.7-inch display with HD+ resolution and a large notch. The handset is equipped with a 1.8 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage (up to 512GB).

It features a 13-megapixel main camera, a secondary 8-megapixel selfie snapper and a decent 3,000 mAh battery. Keep in mind that the Moto G7 Play ships with Android 9.0 Pie onboard, and there’s no telling whether or not it will be updated to Android 10.
