Microsoft has quietly filed for a trademark for the Xbox Series X logo. The new trademark was filed last week, and it was spotted by users on Reddit this week.

The logo for the Xbox Series X is as simple as it gets, to be honest. There isn’t a lot going on here, and that’s probably a good thing. I am not an expert in logo designs, but this logo looks really simple and will probably go well with the rest of the Xbox branding.

Microsoft had trademarked a similar logo for the Xbox One S. Unlike Sony, Microsoft is yet to make a big reveal of the logo for its next-gen console.

The trademark listing for the Xbox Series X logo does not reveal anything interesting. The trademark lists the different types of goods and services where the logo can be used, and it includes the obvious things like game consoles and game programs, as well as more interesting things like watches, jewellery, action figures, and even plush toys. This is probably just the usual, legal gatekeeping, though.
