Microsoft To-Do Gets Series of Updates Across Platforms

Posted January 17, 2019 | Microsoft | Microsoft To-Do | Windows

Microsoft’s To-Do app has been getting a series of updates across all platforms over this week. The updates introduce new features on Windows 10, Android, and iOS.

Firstly, let’s talk about the Windows 10 app: it now lets you pin all of your lists to the Start Menu. This means if you have multiple lists, you can now have all your normal lists as well as smart lists pinned to your Windows 10 Start Menu. The update also introduces a confirmation for when you are trying to delete to-do tasks with inking gestures and introduces improved re-organization of your late activities.

Next up is iOS, where the iPad app for To-Do is getting support for a new, three-pane layout. The updated interface means you can now access the list menu, a particular list, as well as the details for a task all at the same time. You will now be able to view the steps required for a task without having to open the menu for the task everytime with the new update.

And lastly, on Android, To-Do is getting a redesigned My Day view where the Suggestions will pop-up instantly so you can add them to your day. The updated app also introduces the ability to snooze a reminder for 5 minutes, to up to an hour.

All these updates are a good indication of how Microsoft is pushing To-Do. The app has gotten a ton of updates over the last few months, and it has some more updates coming like a dark mode on iOS, and potential support for folders.
